Soul Egg

Soul Eggs (SE) are a common type of Mystical Egg primarily gained from Prestige that grant a persistent permanent 10% (can be upgraded) boost to all future earnings, which can be upgraded further with Soul Food, Eggs of Prophecy, and Artifacts.

They resemble stones with a purple icosahedral jewel set in the center.

Obtaining[]

You gain Soul Eggs by Prestiging, completing certain Challenges or Trophies, the Daily Gift Calendar, or sometimes goals in a Contract.

The Soul Eggs you earn when Prestiging are calculated based off of your total Prestige earnings, via the following formula (note that "Prestige Bonus" is the eponymous Epic Research).

If you have an increased Soul Egg collection rate, you need to multiply any bock amounts earned while the rate was in effect by the appropriate factor to determine a modified Prestige earnings number to plug into the formula above. For example, if you earned 10 vigintillion Bocks without any Soul Egg collection rate modifier, then 20 vigintillion more bocks while you have a 500x Soul Beacon active, then 36 vigintillion more Bocks while you have both the 500x Soul Beacon and a +400% Phoenix Feather active, then your modified Prestige earnings would be 10 + 20(500) + 36(500)(5) vigintillion = 100.01 unvigintillion Bocks, and so you would plug that number into the above formula.

Upgrading[]

There are a few ways to increase the power of Soul Eggs.

Soul Food[]

Soul Food is an epic upgrade that strengthens the ability of Soul Eggs. Each level adds a 1 percentage point boost to all Soul Eggs (e.g. level 14 increases your egg bonus from 10% to 24%, an increase of 14 percentage points). Soul Food has 140 levels, with a maximum Soul Egg effect of 150% (10 + 140).

Soul Stone[]

Soul Stones, a type of Eggfinity Stone, can also increase the bonus given by soul eggs if they are used in an artifact.

Eggs of Prophecy[]

You can increase the potency of soul eggs by 5% (compounding) with Eggs of Prophecy. Each Prophecy Egg increases the potency of all soul eggs by 5-10%, depending on your level of Prophecy Bonus, an Epic Upgrade. Its bonus can be further increased with Prophecy Stones and a Book of Basan.

Trivia[]

An icosahedron is a 3D shape with 20 polygonal faces. The jewel inside the Soul Egg is a regular icosahedron, which means its 20 faces are all equilateral triangles, and this means there are 5 faces visible around each vertex, leading to the 5 most visible faces of the jewel in this picture.
At least one Soul Egg is required before the game asks the player for permission to track a device. However, this message hasn't been shown even though the files include a tracking message in the files.
